Job Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of a Business Objects (BO) reporting project from initiation to completion. This role ensures the alignment of project execution with strategic objectives, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with governance frameworks. Success in this position is defined by timely delivery, quality outcomes, and effective stakeholder engagement. The role plays a key part in advancing the organization's data and reporting capabilities.


Responsibilities and Duties


  • Develop a detailed project plan aligned with the BO scope, including deliverables, timelines, milestones, and resource needs.
  • Ensure alignment with the organization's strategic roadmap and master planning efforts.
  • Act as the central point of contact among business, IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and communication across all parties.
  • Collaborate closely with the PMO to maintain compliance with governance and reporting standards.
  • Track and monitor progress against the plan and proactively identify and manage deviations.
  • Prepare and present accurate reports on status, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, logs, and project dashboards.
  • Identify, assess, and document project risks early in the lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Escalate critical blockers in a timely manner and drive resolution.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet predefined quality standards and business requirements.
  • Manage change requests through a structured change control process.
  • Support the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment readiness.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Coordinate internal and external resource utilization.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and complete documentation at project closure.
  • Support post-go-live activities and performance monitoring during stabilization.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing Business Intelligence or reporting projects.
  • Prior experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BO) implementation is essential.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is required.
  • Additional certifications in Agile, ITIL, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and deliver under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);  Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
